ACTIVE SHOOTER AWARENESS TRAINING

October 17, 2019 — This session was designed to prepare hotel staff for an active shooter or workplace threat by equipping them to handle an unforeseen emergency situation. Our esteemed presenter is Vincent Latigue, CLSD,  served in the military and has extensive security experience with the Ritz Carlton Hotel Company and InterContinental Hotel Group. He also served on the 1996 Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games Headquarters as the Assistant to the Special Investigator and Physical Security Manager. His awards include receiving the prestigious “Director of the Year Award” in 2014 from the United States Secret Service for Key Support by members of the Private Security Industry.


HUMAN TRAFFICKING

May 17, 2017 — In partnership with City of Long Beach and Salvation Army, the hoteliers were invited to a 2 hour session, one in English and in Spanish to learn about the signs of human trafficking. Over 120 employees from 6 hotels attended. Special thank you to Priscilla who put the training on!


CPR and FIRST AID

April 19- 20, 2017 — LBHA sponsored a training session in both English and Spanish in CPR and First Aid, complimentary with over 100 employees in attendance.


ACTIVE SHOOTER TRAINING

We are proud to present 3 days and 6 classes in both English (3) and Spanish(3) with the topic of Active Shooter Training as facilitated by the Force Training Institute and the police officers who facilitated our personal training classes. Special thanks to the Hotel Maya (Sept 7th) the Hyatt Grand (Sept 8th) and the Renaissance Long Beach (Sept 22nd)for hosting the classes, both in English and Spanish. Over 225 employees were in attendance.


PERSONAL SAFETY TRAINING

Two hour personal empowering training, both in English and in Spanish to teach risk awareness and personal defense. Over 250 hotel employees attended over three days.


RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE

Since 2011, in partnership with the Long Beach Convention and Visitors Bureau, we collectively have served over 1700 meals. Cheri Bazley, Executive Director, “Our families are so grateful for the warm meals that our (hotel) partners have provided over the years. This service that our loving community provides allows these families to focus all of their energy on the one thing that matters most of all… the health of their child.
